I discovered photography through my grandfather, a renowned Dutch photographer who captured celebrities on black-and-white film. Though I never met him, his work inspired me to pick up a camera. I fell in love with film photography, especially the darkroom process—the patience, the anticipation, the magic of an image coming to life.

In high school, my passion expanded into filmmaking. Writing and directing allowed me to tell stories in a way photography couldn’t. Now, as a freshman at SCAD, I’m refining my craft, blending the intimacy of photography with the immersive power of film. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see where my lens takes me.
